The New Integrated Medicine and Self-healing

For the past week I have dived into a snow-balling movement that is going on right now, which for me means a revolution in medicine. Reading wonderful authors like Debra Greene, listening to amazing enlighteners both back home in Estonia through radio and also the inspirational figures Bruce Lipton, the cell-biologist who is now an educator in the new development in genetics called epi-genetics or (beyond) genetics, and Lissa Rankin who is also an educator as to the role of stress, our belief about stress and the role of doctors in healing.

It has been an astounding journey where most of my biological base knowledge taught in schools has been over-thrown. Genes don't control us, its the signals and the quality of intent from the environment which through the membrane of the cell can either trigger genes or leave them silent, but genes can do nothing on their own and after removing genes from the cells, the cells still function in a normal way. The placebo effect is perhaps the main reason why people heal in conventional medicine. We are self-healing mechanisms. The last part was not new to me at all, but it was the mechanism and the reasons behind that was left somehow unclear.

Biology and medicine are finally tuning into the recognition that consciousness is the most important part of an organism. I find myself doing my happy dance on the inside!
Religion on its own failed because people needed proof. We experience the world through our senses and these receptors to the outside can see, taste, touch, smell, hear- of course we couldn't be satisfied when that part of experience of life was left out of the equation. And yet science ie looking for proof is not complete on its own because there are phenomena that it just cannot explain with looking at the physical aspect only, many things just don't make sense.
Evolutional psychologists know the importance of a faith system for human beings, without something to believe in, to trust in, and to have hope in we are living in fear. We simply do not do well with the proposition and thought-system that it is an alien, hostile universe out there that acts without cause or reason in a random way and can threaten us at any time. Perhaps this view-point is also important at certain periods of life, it can propel us through existentialism towards many dissolutions of things we do not need, but in the long run it is a non-sustaining world-view.
When we banned religion and turned solely towards science then at first that worked quite well, there seemed to be definite laws and reasons about the outside that we could figure out and then control and we had a heightened faith in ourselves.
Of course it turned out that nature still acts unpredictably and besides that there were a lot of cold mechanical philosophical implications coming out of science like Darwinism and random competitive evolution, or the Newtonian clockwork model of the world that alienated us to a feeling of a lonely isolated machine. Still in the mercy of the unknown.
Even in modern science the more we know about the proven facts the more crazy the universe seems, especially with the rise of the modern sciences like quantum physics etc.
In my opinion, though people do protest this of course- science in fact IS the new religion or has turned into one. There are many things coming out from research now that show that many of the accepted "facts" of science are based on nothing but an agreement of the majority of the scientists in the past who presented it to the public as facts, and it caught up in the whole collective consciousness perhaps in the old model of faith, which ironically it was rebelling against in the beginning- perhaps a habitual track for us too strong to fight against, the path of least resistance. Really these "facts" were either partial findings to begin with or almost not researched at all, for example vaccines, aids, blood transfusions to name some.
If you listen to the most passionate advocates of science, you will often find people who refuse to even question many dogmas of science, who ridicule people who want to seemingly put the whole thing to question which we already take solace and comfort in, by simply doing additional new research or to look into alternatives to these, as would be scientific-minded really. The only conclusion is that science simply took the place of religion in a way.
But times are changing now, as soon as scientists started tackling the role of the mind and consciousness, in the after-advent of the discovery of the quantum world, and in the advent of a cyber-connected world of the modern era also.. there is a union happening among the open-minded and progressive scientists. Different fields of science are in fact coming to the same conclusions, conclusions that perfectly match old spiritual wisdom that the highest achieving researchers into the predecessor system for looking for answers found.
Spirituality and science together make a perfect marriage, something that I have been hoping for for a long time. By spirituality of course I do not mean organized religion, following dogma, blind faith. I mean the lessons that ancient cultures gave us, which we simply wanted to throw away like throwing the baby out with the bath water- those of feeling like an integrated part in our own deeply respected world- like shamans did. Those of coming to contact with the higher intelligence, knowledge about the life-energy that makes our hearts beat and lungs breathe, knowledge about the essence of life, the spark that is sacred, knowledge that because everything is connected we are all tiny parts of the process but we form a whole and there is love, there is meaning- like the the core of all religions did. With remembering these discoveries of the spiritual paradigm we can establish materialism also as the yang to the yin, with creating the perfect balance.

The new research into the placebo effect and stress has developed these understandings in short about what disease is and how we heal..

Stress turns on the fight-or-flight program in our body, the sympathetic system. Our brains, through the secretion of stress hormones trigger the following actions in our bodies- the blood flows into our limbs, involved in self-protection, away from our brain and torso, leaving less oxygen and energy there, lessening our immune system. In a longer period of stress of course the bodies respond with disease. It seems that disease is the body's crying out to us- no! We are starved and need attention. Often it happens that people over-work and over-stress and its only when they get sick then they allow themselves to take the time out and heal themselves so in other words the body's response with disease is the only intelligent decision it can make.

Our cells renew constantly, every few years our whole cellular body is completely new. So it is not a problem for the body to heal at all, it doesn't seem to need anything from the outside for that. Yet we have more and more prolongued and debilitating and chronic disease. This can be firstly because the stress factor remains and the body remains in the sympathetic system instead of going into the parasympathetic relaxed healing system. These signals are coming also from our emotional and mental bodies. If our cells get the signal from our thoughts- I cannot get better, there is something wrong, or our emotions- I am afraid, then the cell responds in the same way, it doesn't distinguish between perceived threats or actual threats, there have been many experiments proving this.
Or the second signal, that dr. Lipton has talked about as well, is the unconscious programming we have been receiving from the people around us since we are very little- you have to go to the doctor, he will make you better. You may be an open-minded person with awareness of the bodys self-healing powers at times, but without the full realization on the experiential level perhaps also- the deep-rooted programming will take charge and the long-established conviction- only a doctor can make me better, I have no knowledge or power really to do that- will block the body to actually go to the self-healing stage, the signals for relaxation are not there! It is the same with people who go on a self-developing road through meditation for example. It takes a very long time for the set habits to allow our minds and bodies to fully and deeply go into the practice, even though we understand and know that it works and is good for us.
Once we go to the doctor the obstacle for healing is dissolved, belief activates the relaxation which in turn will allow us utilize our own innate healing mechanism.

It is a question for me- whether it has any effect at all what the doctor does to you, whether he gives you a pill, gives you a placebo, or does nothing. As long as he does not upset the release of the healing program, (which unfortunately of course happens all the time and doctors even do harm constantly by causing diagnosis shocks in a patient), but performs his function of providing allowance for you to do your thing, supporting you and making you feel protected, then there is nothing wrong with going to the doctor of course. This is until we reprogram ourselves to truly believe in our own bodies, then going to the doctor, unless it is an accident and our bones need to be set, or any other assistance like for giving birth- becomes obsolete.

So I have been thinking for some time- are doctors necessary. For those with the belief in their own innate ability to heal- they are not. But now I realise that for those still with the belief that it is the doctor who heals them- they are important. And for those who believe that alternative doctors do the best healing- these doctors are the best ones. It really boils down to our own belief-system and who do we trust, who can get us to the state of parasympathetic response. Is it you? It can be you! But many will perhaps always feel more comfortable with a support system outside them who they can rely on and who comforts them. Whatever works! Create the positive atmosphere however you like, but its that state of trust and well-being, relaxation, which is the real doctor for all of us, and there are many things we can do to increase that, including thought exercises, emotional healing from the past, meditation, yoga, healthy nutrition, exercise, falling in love with someone or better yet- being in love with life, universe and everything, including our own tiny expressions of that beautiful energy that are our bodies. Possibilities are endless! :)

Thoughts on "Left in the Dark"

Continuing from my last post I felt like putting down some thoughts that have arisen since, I have rarely allowed myself to ramble on my blog, but there is a great passion awake, and it tends to rear its head on this theme in particular.

Even though only half-way through this great book I recognize its importance on many levels, and have to give it praise for something that I have seen missing in science- connecting the dots and having an overview of the whole picture.

Years ago, as a student of genetics I was taught a view that this paragraph correctly illustrates:

"DNA is usually thought to be the only conveyance for the passage of information to the next generation and hence to variation,  adaptation and evolution. The mechanism that reads the DNA is assumed to be stable. This is not usually included in the picture as far as inherited change and variation is concerned. The standard evolutionary model is based on the changes that come from glitches in the DNA code. These changes are taken to be accidental (mutation) and usually deleterious, but when they are of benefit, the benefits incurred will create a fitter animal with  enhanced survivability (selection). "

Wright does a great deal with simply demonstrating that nothing in our body is isolated (nothing indeed at all is isolated but we are so deeply stuck with our paradigm of separation and looking at single separate mechanisms, that now all the different fractions of science are having a measurably hard time to re-unite and move forward which can be done only through recognizing inter-dependence with other fields, this seems such a long way off still). He shows how in fact what we eat can effect our endocrine system, which influences how the DNA is read, which in turn can be an evolutionary mechanism also. This is truly revolutionary.

"The standard model is totally DNA based: inherited traits are passed on via DNA codes but, if a different reading system can be inherited and passed on, there is, in effect, a transmission of a different DNA expression. The DNA and the reading system do not work in isolation. They go together. The reading system is built in the uterus. A change in this reading system will result in different structures, including the structures that read the DNA. If these are stable, the way the DNA is read will be changed permanently. This is a new and radical theory that has huge implications. It is a mechanism for inheritance that does not depend on changes in DNA. It is an inherited reading change.
This theory is not incompatible with the standard DNA model for inheritance. It is merely a variation that, we propose, had a marked affect on the evolution of the ape/hominid lineage. The key point is that the variation is coming from the neural-endocrine system and it is this variation which is inherited. However this does not preclude DNA variation working with, alongside, in response to, or independently of this mechanism."

"Steroid hormones in particular are an integral part of the mechanism that reads the DNA, the blueprint that ultimately dictates the structure  and chemistry of what is built and ultimately
how it works."

There are also brave and visionary people who have been doing studies on how emotions are affecting the coding of our DNA, postulating that the heart has even a bigger electro-magnetic field than the brain and feelings of love can actually change us right down to the cellular level. In short we are truly living in the time when the forgotten wisdoms are coming back to science.

This was always my main issue with some scientific fields, namely the ones looking after the well-being of humanity- they do not look at the whole picture, so how can we trust them to tell us a valid truth about how to look after ourselves? Apart from that- they are also corrupt so the notion of caring is even impossible.
Nutritionists live in a seeming la-la-land which takes into account no scientific evidence at all apparently and as shown in this book- no evolutionary evidence in particular. It is dominated rather by economics.
Doctors live in another la-la-land where they think that what we eat is only remotely connected to our well-being, it boggles the mind that nutritional studies are not really included in studying to be a doctor. But then if it was then would it really benefit as it is another impoverished separatist non-wisdom? And also there is no profit in knowing about food being the only true medicine, it would make the whole enterprise fall.
Psychology is a discipline of blind leading the blind. As Wright points out- a poorly functioning left-brain dominance, riddled with fear, separation, deceit, illusion- is a systematic disease that is not isolated to a percentage of human populace but present in all, including the psychologists we go to for healing. And once again- the pharmaceutical companies are really in charge.

We know almost nothing about human consciousness though it is long shown through physics in particular that consciousness plays a vital part in physical phenomena.

We know almost nothing. We pin our puny microscopes on particular moments of life happening and say- this is what happens. This is perfectly fine as an evolutionary process of science, but it is certainly not fine if the paradigms and common dogmas from this way of looking at things- dictate what we put into our bodies, how to heal and in general meddle with our bodies- which of course are vehicles and seats of our souls.

Evidence stares us in our face- we are getting more unhealthy by the decade.

"Left in the Dark" seems like a pessimistic theory- stating that human beings as a species have been degenerating, and operate from a dominance of a deeply impoverished and hurt left-hemisphere. But it is also completely hopeful. Unless we recognize the problem, there won't be a solution. If we understand the cause and mechanism of the problem-the solutions are many. It is the denial that holds most humans back at this particular point.

As I always try to emphasize- we live in such a crazy, corrupt world where taking charge of our own well-being is really the only option. Questioning the system and self-education, looking at alternatives is really the only option. If we care about our well-being that is. If we are not dulled down in blind faith and trust and mollified by our inherent self-destructiveness. If we care to not only survive, but if we dream to actualize and reach our best possible state.

Hence I have to always mentally applaud all those who give glimpses of a new possible paradigm and a healing of science. Such a long way off, but all the journeys start from small steps.

An investigation into the evolution of the human brain- Tony Wright

"A new theory of human evolution, proposed by Tony Wright and Graham Gynn in ‘Left in the Dark’, convincingly argues that the human brain owes part of its extraordinary development to the biochemistry of a specialist fruit diet. The hormone-related chemicals in tropical fruit initiated an internal hormone mechanism that increasingly promoted brain growth and elevated neural activity. When humans were forced from their tropical forest ‘Garden of Eden’ some two hundred thousand years ago, this link with biochemically rich fruit was lost.

The internal hormone mechanism that fuelled brain expansion stalled, and the process went into reverse. This caused a breakdown in part of the brain; some functions were lost and our sense of self changed for the worse – a golden age descended in stages to our present materialist, fear-based age of plastic and Prozac. These neurological effects are now being revealed and verified by today’s cutting edge science.

Virtually all cultures preserve myths with an almost identical theme; that from a past golden age humanity has suffered a progressive degeneration. Is this near universal tradition based on real events? The answer appears to be ‘yes’. Recent scientific evidence supports the idea that we suffer from an inherited hormonal condition that has damaged part of our brain. In an unexpected twist, it is the damaged part that is not only driven to play the major role in telling us who we are but also dominates our basic biological functions.
Such a scenario explains some extraordinary anomalies that have emerged from research into how our brains function. It provides an underlying reason for the present crises in health, from the dysfunction of the immune system to the declining age of puberty. It also makes sense of the diverse mystic and religious practices that are said to lead to enlightened states or ‘oneness with God’.

If our common experience of near constant low-level fear and anxiety is actually a consequence of a neurological disorder, there may be a fundamental solution to the problem. We all know that fear, distrust and a lack of connection lead to conflict and ultimately war. Such a solution therefore could be of crucial importance to our global future."

I accidentally stumbled on an interview with Tony Wright and was instantly fascinated. Kudos to Wright for explaining thoroughly and extremely well his theories, this with almost inhuman patience with the interviewer, watch and you will see what I mean. The interviewer and the interviewed wonderfully demonstrating the difference between the left brain and right brain action respectively, to my mind at least. I was convinced, and I cannot wait to read the book.

Will our kids be a different species?

Its amazing for me to completely agree and disagree with something at the same time. Yes- we are becoming and some are already a new species. No- this has nothing to do with science-which for all its best intentions we cannot keep up with cause of our tunnel vision and ignorance of the importance of consciousness. Its amazing how many know the whys and how many know the hows and how big the unnecessary wall still is between them for no reason. Science is daily confirming the ancient spiritual knowledge. Yet it refuses to take that leap. I am waiting patiently.. It is looking like a scarier future all the time without that leap.

My top must-see documentaries in recent years

"Rather than love, than money, than fame-
give me truth."

Henry David Thoreau

Decided to do a small collection of some of the documentaries that have affected me in a profound way in recent years. Some of these movies enraged me, disgusted me, made me cry, but for me truth at this evolutionary stage of human consciousness is not only desirable, but necessary. Anger is there for a good reason and has a powerful, transformative energy behind it, which can help us free ourselves, become healthy and self-sufficient, and most of all- responsible and socially conscious beings. These films only scratch the surface of course and I already know I will forget to mention some, comments as for the omissions very welcome!

Irena Salina’s award-winning documentary investigation into what experts label the most important political and environmental issue of the 21st Century – The World Water Crisis. Salina builds a case against the growing privatization of the world!s dwindling fresh water supply with an unflinching focus on politics, pollution, human rights, and the emergence of a domineering world water cartel. Interviews with scientists and activists intelligently reveal the rapidly building crisis, at both the global and human scale, and the film introduces many of the governmental and corporate culprits behind the water grab, while begging the question can anyone really own water?! Beyond identifying the problem, Flow also gives viewers a look at the people and institutions providing practical solutions to the water crisis and those developing new technologies, which are fast becoming blueprints for a successful global and economic turnaround.

Examines the role of the bottled water industry and its effects on our health, climate change, pollution, and our reliance on oil. The documentary is well structured and presents an overwhelming amount of evidence which will change the way anyone thinks about bottled and municipal water.
Both the “manufacture” of the water itself, and also where the bottles come from, where they go after use and how they influence our lives while they’re with us. The willful absence of major companies such as Coke, Pepsi and Nestle is extremely telling in light of all the material presented.
One can only hope that the small voice of this film will be heard over the huge booming commercial machine that these and other companies represent in the popular media. If you haven’t seen this movie, simply watch it. It’s that good and the information is something everyone should know.

With nutritionally-depleted foods, chemical additives and our tendency to rely upon pharmaceutical drugs to treat what's wrong with our malnourished bodies, it's no wonder that modern society is getting sicker. Food Matters sets about uncovering the trillion dollar worldwide 'sickness industry' and gives people some scientifically verifiable solutions for overcoming illness naturally.
"With access to better information people invariably
make better choices for their health..."

Food, Inc. lifts the veil on our nation's food industry, exposing how our nation's food supply is now controlled by a handful of corporations that often put profit ahead of consumer health, the
livelihood of the American farmer, the safety of workers and our own environment. Food, Inc. reveals surprising and often shocking truths about what we eat, how it's produced and who we have become as a nation.

EARTHLINGS is a feature length documentary about humanity’s absolute dependence on animals (for pets, food, clothing, entertainment, and scientific research) but also illustrates our complete disrespect for these so-called “non-human providers.”

How much outrage can a single multinational corporation inspire? How much damage can they inflict? The breathtaking new film, The World According to Monsanto, features a company that sets the new standard. From Iowa to Paraguay, from England to India, Monsanto is uprooting our food supply and replacing it with their patented genetically engineered creations. And along the way, farmers, communities, and nature become collateral damage.
The Gazette says the movie “will freeze the blood in your veins.” The Hour says it’s a “horrifying enough picture” to warrant “fury.” But most importantly, this critical film opens our eyes just in time.

~

AIDS, Inc. is a film about the multi-billion dollar AIDS industry, and how it profits from continuing fears and misconceptions about the disease. While AIDS grabs the headlines and raises billions of dollars with celebrity endorsements and billionaire endowments, we are no closer to finding a cure than when the scourge first appeared 30 years ago.
Could it be that after so many years of research, and so much money being spent, that the entire orthodox medical establishment has been wrong about AIDS, or even worse, has sought to profit on a system that it knew was flawed from the beginning? Doctor Robert Gallo who discovered the HIV virus said that there is no legitimate dissent when it comes to AIDS.
But there are more than 5,000 physicians, microbiologists, journalists and activists who disagree and say that we have been misled about the real causes of AIDS and the nature of its treatment. The mainstream media has chosen not to provide an outlet for their opinions.
In this important film, documentary filmmaker and health expert Gary Null, traveled to more than 30 countries over an eight year period to seek them out and get their interviews. This is the first film on AIDS that brings the most compelling of their arguments together in one place. Dr. Null blows the lid off the wealthy AIDS industry and shows how greed and corruption have prevented any real progress in fighting the epidemic or its underlying causes.

Evolution is a term to define only one organism and that's the self. The self is the universe, the self is the alpha and omega, god, and infinity, and that's the only thing that evolves because we are all part of the self. Nothing goes through an evolutionary process alone or without direct benefit to the whole.
So when you begin to think that there's this controlling elite, this controlling hand behind the curtains leading the planet to destruction. When you think the end is near, the apocalypse, Armageddon, and when you think we as a species are doomed, it is not they, it is you that brought this about, and for a very good reason. You are evolving. Stop blaming everybody and everything else. Quit panicking about global tyranny and natural disaster and pay attention, because the world is telling you something; it's tell you exactly what is wrong with you and how to fix it.

Startling and powerful, Control Room is a documentary about the Arab television network Al-Jazeera's coverage of the U.S.-led Iraqi war, and conflicts that arose in managed perceptions of truth between that news media outlet and the American military. Egyptian-American filmmaker Jehane Noujaim (Startup.com) catches the frantic action at Al-Jazeera headquarters as President Bush stipulates his 48-hour, get-out-of-town warning to Saddam Hussein and sons, soon followed by the network's shocking footage of Iraqi civilians terrorized and killed by invading U.S. troops. Al-Jazeera's determination to show images and report details outside the Pentagon's carefully controlled information flow draws the wrath of American officials, who accuse it of being an al-Qaida propagandist. (The killing of an Al-Jazeera reporter in what appears to be a deliberately targeted air strike is horrifying.) Most fascinating is the way Control Room allows well-meaning, Western-educated, pro-democratic Arabs an opportunity to express views on Iraq as they see it--in an international context, and in a way most Americans never hear about. --Tom Keogh

Total recall by indigo child Matias de Stefano

I have understood for a long time that I am an indigo child but couldn't really see the whole picture with that. Bless other indigos like Matias de Stefano born with an ability to remember, and to help understand. This video contains an excellent wealth of info from the structure and workings of the universe, the unrecorded history of humankind, indigos to 2012 and what the future has in store for us.

As for me this video and other info that I have come to contact with today in the usual way of synchronicity have helped me understand everything I have struggled with...

How many of us have always felt like aliens on this planet? I do believe that some of us are souls that have entered this planet for the first time from other systems and dimensions, and the others "are earth natives who have matured spiritually to the point of awakening to their metaphysical identity, thereby making the worldly identity less real, and creating the sense of being a stranger in a strange land." (src article- are you a wanderer)
Anyway I was suffering a lot for this reason- since I can remember as a child I was always very upset to be here, until I remembered that this was my choice. I used to long for "home" all the time, most of my youth was spent on watching the stars and wanting to go home.
Always feeling as if out of my natural environment, at the height of my spiritual crises I literally had panic attacks constantly, physically developing an inability to breathe in a seemingly foreign air, breathing was a huge mile-stone for me, but suicidal tendencies followed me for several years in this time and I can honestly say- this planet is an extremely difficult place to adapt to.

The other thing I have always felt was a reverse growing process, this is how I see it in any case. My higher chakras were always open and I have always lived through mainly my crown, giving me great ease with dealing with spiritual experiences and growing tools like meditation and connection to the universe but on the downside with my lower chakras that give grounding, not developed, especially the root chakra, (this must be the main problem of integration for all indigos,) always left me un-rooted, disconnected, struggling with alienation. I was literally a tree that had to grow from the tops of the branches down to the roots, and I am still not sure I'll ever grow those roots. I don't think that integration for me is a goal though and it was not my intention. As de Stefano says in the video, "When people start to see that any type of teaching system they try is going to fail somehow, because the indigo have not come to stay on the planet, the indigo vibration changes the context for what's going to stay after."

I have understood why I and other indigos find it scarring to go through formal education and impossible to go for higher education. In my case I have looked at every single field of study and seen the futility and the nonsensical qualities in it with the thought in mind that we are going through a shift and the paradigm is going to change completely soon. There is no use in old educational system, as I have always felt about every single system operating right now, in power right now- it is all corrupt, it is all futile and it doesn't serve the humanity anymore.

So I have found a sort of peace through all of the understandings through this video and I hope others are too. The thing to do now is mostly nothing, though I agree with the speaker when he says, "This color [indigo] is transmutation, and the Souls have come to create in the way that adapts best to each of them. If their context is aggressive or very passive, they will create changes through aggressiveness and by breaking ideas in the family level. They will do it through sexuality, politics, vandalism, art, indifference and tribalism, even through pure and possessive love." I know something of some of these different ways but in short- all that matters at this time to me now is not participating in the system in any way that will feed it further.

I have no doubt in my mind that we have all decided to incarnate at this particular, very interesting, though very difficult time. The only thing we really "must" do in this time, is to be open to it. Be open to ourselves, learn to know who we are, and always keep a positive vision of the world we want to create before our eyes. Love, learn and help learn.

Blessings to you all my fellow travelers!

Are you an indigo adult/child?

Indigos have a warrior spirit, because their collective purpose is to mash down old systems that no longer serve us. They are here to quash government, educational, and legal systems that lack integrity. To accomplish this end, they need tempers and fiery determination.

Those adults who resist change and who value conformity may misunderstand the Indigos. They are often mislabeled with psychiatric diagnoses of Attention Deficit with Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) or Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD). Sadly, when they are medicated, the Indigos often lose their beautiful sensitivity, spiritual gifts and warrior energy..........

Indigo Children can sense dishonesty, like a dog can sense fear. Indigos know when they're being lied to, patronized, or manipulated. And since their collective purpose is to usher us into a new world of integrity, the Indigos inner lie-detectors are integral. As mentioned before, this warrior spirit is threatening to some adults. And the Indigos are unable to conform to dysfunctional situations at home, work, or school. They don't have the ability to dissociate from their feelings and pretend like everything's okay ..."

"Indigo Adult Characteristics

  • Are intelligent, though may not have had top grades.
  • Are very creative and enjoy making things.
  • Always need to know WHY, especially why they are being asked to do something.
  • Had disgust and perhaps loathing for much of the required and repetitious work in school.
  • Were rebellious in school in that they refused to do homework and rejected authority of teachers, OR seriously wanted to rebel, but didn't DARE, usually due to parental pressure.
  • May have experienced early existential depression and feelings of helplessness. These may have ranged from sadness to utter despair. Suicidal feelings while still in high school or younger are not uncommon in the Indigo Adult.
  • Have difficulty in service-oriented jobs. Indigos resist authority and caste system of employment.
  • Drug/alcohol abuse is not uncommon to numb the internal emotional and Spiritual pain.
  • Easily disorganized and may have excessive clutter and are not able to handle it, due to your lack of focus.
  • Prefer leadership positions or working alone to team positions.
  • Have deep empathy for others, yet an intolerance of stupidity.
  • May be extremely emotionally sensitive including crying at the drop of a hat (no shielding) Or may be the opposite and show no expression of emotion (full shielding).
  • May have trouble with RAGE.
  • Have trouble with systems they consider broken or ineffective, ie. political, educational, medical, and legal.
  • Alienation from or anger with politics - feeling your voice won't count and/or that the outcome really doesn't mattter.
  • Frustration with or rejection of the traditional American dream - 9-5 career, marriage, 2.5 children, house with white picket fence, etc.
  • Anger at rights being taken away, fear and/or fury at "Big Brother watching you."
  • Have a burning desire to do something to change and improve the world. May be stymied what to do. May have trouble identifying their path.
  • Have psychic or spiritual interest appear fairly young - in or before teen years.
  • Had few if any Indigo role models. Having had some doesn't mean you're not an indigo, though.
  • Have strong intuition.
  • Random behavior pattern or mind style - (symptoms of Attention Deficit Disorder). May have trouble focusing on assigned tasks, may jump around in conversations.
  • Have had psychic experiences, such as premonitions, seeing angels or ghosts, out of body experiences, hearing voices.
  • Very critical and judgemental about what's happening in the world and the lack of consciouness of the people.
  • Can feel not in body, not grounded, not "here".  You are more comfortable out in the ethers. May have awareness of other dimensions and parallel realities.
  • Sexually are very expressive and inventive OR may reject sexuality in boredom or with intention of achieving higher spiritual connection. May explore alternative types of sexuality.
  • Seek meaning to their life and understanding about the world May seek this through religion or spirituality, spiritual groups and books, self-help groups and books.

When they find balance they may become very strong, healthy, happy individuals.

Please note, anyone could have a few of these traits, but Indigo Adults have most or all of these characteristics. "

"The Indigo/Crystal phenomenon is the next step in our evolution as a human species. We are all, in some way, becoming more like the Indigo and Crystal people. They are here to show us the way... By their very presence, they assist others to move into these new vibrations and open up to their full potential as well. The Indigo-crystal gift to the planet is the gift of Evolution and access to our full potential, for every human being on the planet today, if they so choose.

Until fairly recently, all humans born on Earth were born as Third Dimensional beings. This means that they were fully in the material plane or realm, and their consciousness was "locked" into the Third Dimension. They functioned on the first three chakras, the material, the emotional and the mental. Where there was spirituality, it was usually seen as something outside or other than normal every day functioning.

The Third Dimensional being is aware of him or herself as a separate and unique individual. There is no real sense of the unity or oneness of consciousness that is a factor of higher dimensional consciousness. Because of this sense of separation, humans have built a society that has very little awareness of the interconnectedness of beings and actions. And because of this lack of awareness, humans have created a planet of sorrow and suffering, where individuals see no need to be responsible for their thoughts, feelings and actions. Fear of not surviving on the individual level, because of lack of resources, has led to greed and imbalances that need to be addressed in order to create a stable planetary home for all humans.

The Indigo children arrived with the key to multi-dimensionality. They were born into Third Dimensional bodies, but their consciousness was effectively in the Fourth Dimension and capable of moving into the Fifth. When this "wave" of Indigo consciousness arrived on the planet in the early 1970s, the way was opened for all humans and the planet itself to shift into the Fourth Dimension.

At the Fourth Dimensional level of Consciousness, humans become aware of the Universal Law of One, otherwise known as "Unity Consciousness". This Law states that we are all One, we are all connected and that whatever affects one of us affects all of us. Indigo children carry this awareness in their consciousness, and it leads them to be warriors for many causes that will heal the Earth and stop humans from destroying and polluting their environment and harming other humans.

The Law of One also fosters the understanding in Indigo beings that we are all equal, and that no one is greater than any other. This group consciousness and group awareness is the path to the future for humans. We will learn to function co-operatively and for the good of all if we are to create the New Earth that we desire.

Indigos respect the talents and abilities of each individual, but these talents do not make any one greater than anyone else. The play of ego and self-importance has no real place in the life of an Indigo.

When an Indigo awareness opens into the Fifth Dimension, it becomes aware of itself as a Creator. Fifth Dimensional awareness loves to create. All the religious belief systems and the economic systems on Earth today are Fifth Dimensional Though Form creations that we hold in place by our continued support of these thought forms. They form a Fifth Dimensional grid around the Earth. Most lower- dimensional beings are completely unaware that their thoughts and behaviour patterns are being controlled from this level.

When the Indigo awareness opens to this level, there is often a rejection of all belief systems and a consciousness of the freedom to create new and alternative ways of thinking and being. The Indigo person takes on the planetary mission of creating and bringing in new ways of thinking and being for Planet Earth. But, at this level the consciousness is still concerned with dualities of "good" and "bad", that determine what kind of system is best for Earth. The next step in consciousness is to move beyond duality and into a realm where all is seen as part of the greater good and for the good of the greater whole.

This advanced state is known as Sixth Dimensional Consciousness, and is the realm of the Christed Child or Magical Child. All Crystal children are born into this level of awareness. They have immediate access to the magical and spiritual aspects of who they are, and are able to blend imagination and creation in fantastic and joyous ways. If they were left to their own devices, they would immediately create a magical planet. But, they still have to deal with a largely Third Dimensional consciousness, and they struggle with the patterns and behaviours that they find here.

When an adult Indigo consciousness makes the shift into the Crystal state or awareness, they enter into Sixth Dimensional awareness and the Christ Consciousness seed. They are rebirthed, in consciousness, as a Christed or Magical child. With this comes an awareness of the playfulness of life, and the play of Spirit through human beings on this planet. Then all life is seen as magical and blessed, and all life is directed and advanced through the work of spirit. At this point, the being understands the principle of surrender to the flow of the greater evolutionary wave, while still exercising the right to be a creator on the individual level.

The Crystal consciousness, when it has matured enough at this level, can then move into the Seventh Dimensional level, where awareness opens onto the nature of the spiritual mission of the being. A Crystal or Christed adult at this level is ready to take on a planetary mission as a carrier of higher dimensional consciousness to others. The work may involve teaching and healing on a grand scale, or it may simply be to carry the energy in the auric field so that others may access the higher vibrations in their own upwards ascension path.

The Crystal child and adult now carry the potential to open fully to the Ninth level or Full Christ Consciousness. This incorporates the Eighth level, or Archetypal level, where the being has full control over the "story" of their life on earth, and the Ninth level, where the being assumes full responsibility for stewardship of the Planet.

The potential then exists for the being to continue on the journey to the Tenth level, where the being accesses his or her Solar System responsibilities; the Eleventh level, where the Galactic level of consciousness is accessed and finally the Twelfth level, where the Gold Ray of Universal Consciousness inaugurates the being as a Full Universal Being. The Thirteenth level represents the Master, who enters into the Divine Mystery as a fully conscious spark of the Divine Creative Essence."

Laughter- a special gift from evolution

The first hoots of laughter from an ancient ancestor of humans rippled across the land at least 10 million years ago, according to a study of giggling primates.

Researchers used recordings of apes and babies being tickled to trace the origins of laughter back to the last common ancestor that humans shared with the modern great apes, which include chimpanzees, gorillas and orangutans.

The finding challenges the view that laughter is a uniquely human trait, suggesting instead that it emerged long before humans split from the evolutionary path that led to our primate cousins, between 10m and 16m years ago.

Laughter brings with it a host of positive effects that operate on both the physical and mental levels. It is also fun, expressive, and a way to release tension. Learn to laugh in the present moment, and you'll find that joy is always there.

Evolution

Just a few videos that I love on the subject. The theme itself is an endless and amazing discovery. The responsibility is there of course. But so is the divine sense of wonder about being part of it. If we only remembered all the time the big picture, then who of us would feel small, meaningless, separate, alone, without a purpose. Amazement, awe, wonder, sense of beauty, oneness, belonging- those are the only states of mind which are based on the truth.

Special attention to the second video (series) by Ian Xel Lungold on the Mayans visionary understanding of evolution of consciousness. Really important stuff.
